Congrats Kao and Chan – An Amazing San Jose Wedding. Your day turned out so perfect, and it was such a blast to be a part of your day!

The day was a fun and fast paced day that started with a traditional Tea ceremony. Then Kao and Chan got changed and we headed out to Stanford with the bridal party for a shoot around the campus. After that it was off to the Hyatt San Jose for the ceremony in the back patio and the night finished with a super fun party in the Hyatt’s ballroom with everyone on the dance floor. Chan really had a great vision for her wedding and every little detail really looked amazing. When I first stepped into the Hyatt ballroom to get a few detail shots I was amazed at how the ballroom was just transformed with drapery, lighting, flowers, all of the details just made the room look magical. From start to finish it was just awesome and we created some very cool images.

One of the coolest things about being a photographer is the connections that you make. I get to witness first hand some of the most important parts of peoples lives, its pretty amazing to watch a family that’s just starting out and watch it grow. For me I usually first do a photoshoot for a couple when they are engaged. The engagement session is always a fun photo session that lets me spend some quality time with the couple and start to get to know them. On the wedding day I am usually there from the getting ready moments up until the end of the night. Spending time in the room with the girls getting ready, the guys beforehand and all of the family really brings you in to this personal, private space for families and lets you connect with them. After the wedding most of the times I feel like part of their family (maybe that crazy uncle with the camera always). But then after the wedding I still get to experience some great moments and share in them with my clients. They get pregnant, have babies, grow their family, have an anniversary, the list goes on and on and while all of these huge milestones are happening I am right there creating lifestyle photos of them to cherish and remember the day forever. No words can describe how cool that really is.

So today here are a few images of Sherri and Steve who are about to have their first baby! Congrats guys, you will be awesome parents.

I love it when I have such a fun and happy bride and groom, David and Wynn had lots of time for photos of them and we got to take a golf cart around the property for awhile to capture some really fun images of them.  This will be part 1 I picked out too many images that I want to share and don’t want the post to scroll forever so will break it down into 2 posts.  Post #2 coming on Monday, i’ll post the slideshow soon!

Congrats Michael and Annmarie for a perfect wedding day from start to finish.  You guys are such a sweet couple and I can tell you will have a lifetime of awesome times ahead.  What a very spectacular day, even with the heat (it was over 100 degrees this day) you would have never know it, everyone had a great time and a huge smile on their face all day long.    We got to shoot at some of our favorite places all in one day which was just amazing, the day started out at Villa Montalvo in Saratoga where Annmarie and the girls got ready in the bridal room.  Annmarie had the most amazing veil, words can’t describe it you have to see the slideshow below.  The ceremony was at the Villa at the Oval gardens.  It was great to work with Kathleen and her crew who always put together a flawless event.  After the ceremony we had some good time with Michael and Annmarie to walk around some of the grounds at the Villa for photos and family pictures.

The reception was at the St. Claire hotel in downtown San Jose (which is where Annmaries parents were also married) and Hilary out there did a great job making sure every detail was attended to and went according to plan.

We got to shoot at some great places but the people are who always make a great wedding.  Both families were great to work with on the day and they really had the “A” team of event professionals working the day.
