San Jose Family Portraits

One of the things that I love after the wedding is being able to watch a family grow. It’s pretty awesome to be there for some of the major events in peoples lives after they get married. I love to get a call a few years (or sometimes 10 months) after the wedding that a couple of mine is expecting. It’s always a privilege to be able to photograph newborns and kids as they grow up. Kids grow so fast and as I watch my own grow up and see their personality change every month it gives me new perspectives on capturing family portraits that really capture this time in a families life. I have photographed some fun portrait sessions recently so will be sharing some images and a few videos over the next few days.
First a few quick shots of this little cutie Towsend!

Canvas Wraps

Why do I love Canvas wraps so much? The easy answer is they are just absolutely gorgeous to look at! We started printing on canvas a few years back and the first sample print I got from my lab I just fell in love with. For me photography has always been an art form and always will be. Great photography is a combination of getting the perfect moment captured with great lighting and then what turns that image into something amazing is in the printing. Choosing the right paper to print on and how the image is presented will make such a huge impact on the final print. A lot of my work that has a romantic feel to it or a little bit of an artistic flair shine when printed on canvas. The extra texture of the cannas can really add to the feel of the print. Taking it a step further with a canvas wrap gives the presentation a very modern feel.
If you haven’t seen a canvas wrap yet they are prints on canvas then laminated and then stretched over a stretcher bar frame. The canvas wraps around the frame so the edge of your image bleeds over the side of the frame. These are meant to hang directly on the wall and usually have a 1.5 inch frame so have a nice depth to them. If you are looking for an amazing way to display some of the images we have created for you give us a call.

Meet the Millette family – Bay area family portraits

Another recent family portrait was the beautiful Millette family. They are so blessed to have 3 adorable girls in the family and were such a joy to photograph.
We shot them at a local beach in Monterey and I had so much fun spending time with the family (and look forward to seeing them again soon at Kristi’s wedding next month!)
Here are a few shots that I loved of the family:
