Mountain Winery Wedding

The Mountain Winery up in Saratoga is a venue that I have photographed many weddings and just love to work out there. Over the past few years they have redone the location with some renovations which has really transfored the place to be a beautiful location for a wedding. There is so much variety up there that as an artist I love to use for images. Great views of the city, cool archways with the main building, lots of trees and natural beauty and of course vines. I have been out there twice in the last few weeks for weddings and have some great images to come. Here is a quick highlight reel from David and Janices wedding at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, congrats guys!

We are all about Passion

One thing that definitely defines my artwork is passion. Really when it comes down to it passion drives us all. It pushes up beyond our limits and makes us reach for the sky. Here is a little insight into me and the art that I create.

I am passionate…

Passionate for moments, passionate for life, passionate for laughing, singing and dancing (my dancing may be pretty bad, and my wife may get a little embarrassed when we are out in public but I will tear up any dance floor. It usually won’t look pretty but i’ll always have a smile on my face). I love the saying “La Dolce Vita” in Italian translated means the Sweet life. Waking up in the morning with a fresh breath of air, enjoying the gifts God has provided me and the beauty that lies all around me are inspirational to me. I love the little smiles my daughter gives me when she wakes up. I love watching the trees move outside dancing to the wind while I sip on a Mocha. I am passionate for capturing life through my camera’s lens.

One thing that I have always been passionate about in my photography since my teens was capturing those perfect moments. For me that perfect image is always right in between moments when people put their guard down and are just being real, being themselves. I have always loved how photography can capture so much emotion and that perfect image can just bring you right back into the day. Photography for me will always be a way to capture life & to tell stories.

For most of you that really know me or have seen me work know that when I am shooting I get into the shot. I always want to capture the fun of the day and am usually laughing, smiling and crying along with the rest of the family. I was editing a shoot from last month and came across a shot that my 2nd photographer took of me while we were shooting a few bridal party images. This image brought me back to the fun of the day and really got me to remember why I do what I do, it’s not just a job its a passion.

And I always have to include a wedding shot in a post :)

Getting ready photos

Today’s photo is from one of my favorite parts of the wedding day, the start of the day when everything is just building up. The time before the ceremony is always filled with so much great energy, as the girls are getting ready the room is filled with hope, joy a little nerves and millions of other emotions that all brought together at once make for some great moments for photos. Here is a quick shot from an amazing wedding we photographed earlier this year for Kao and Chan!

Sunol Valley Golf Course

Last weekend during the dinnertime at our wedding in Los Gatos we were hanging out with the awesome DJ’s – Dan and Cassie from Los Gatos DJ and aside from Dan and I talking about how much we love our iPhone 4′s we got to chatting about a wedding we worked together last year that had one of the best bridal party intro’s. The bridal party was announced in to “I gotta feeling”. It’s a great song and I have seen a few other people use it on their wedding day but this bridal party took it to a whole new level. They were so excited the energy of the room really just pumped everyone up, it was electric just like being on the first row of a concert. Hard to explain with words, but it was truly awesome. They had never seen the photos from the wedding so yesterday I looked for the slideshow here and realized I never posted a slideshow of the day. So better late than never, here is the fun wedding of Paul and Tara at the Sunol Valley Golf Course

Another fun & busy weekend

We finished off the month with 2 more great weddings this weekend. On Saturday we were at Rowan and Angelias wedding up at a friends home at Gault. It was a beautiful home and a awesome group of family and friends they had. A small wedding and everyone there made me feel like part of the family.

We finished the wedding off yesterday at the Casa Real in Pleasanton. A beautiful location that is owned by the same people that run the Palm Events center. This is their first year doing weddings and they have such a beautiful spot, its a Mediterranean style building and the indoor ceremony site is stunning.  I’ll post some shots of everything soon.

Today we also had a great shoot at the Tea Garden in SF, I haven’t been up there in awhile and forgot how beautiful that location is, what a great spot for images!

Have a great week!
